COVID VACCINATION 2025-2026- updated 9/21/2025

Pfizer covid vaccination for 5+ has been FDA approved for those individuals with medical problems that put them at high risk for complications from Covid-19.

Moderna covid vaccination for 6 months+ has been FDA approved for those individuals with medical problems that put them at high risk for complications from Covid-19.

AAP GUIDELINES AND RECOMMENDATIONS-

If you are 6 months to 2 years, routine covid vaccination is recommended with Moderna vaccine. Those under 5 years of age with high risk conditions should get an updated 2025 covid vaccine- Moderna only. CVS minute clinic at Dunkirk has the Moderna vaccine available. Those 5+ who have high risk medical conditions should get an updated 2025 covid vaccine or whose parent desires vaccination are eligible for the updated 2025 covid vaccine- Either Moderna or Pfizer vaccine is acceptable. You DO NOT need a prescription to receive this vaccine.
